On Monday, July 8th, representatives from several countries got together with the organizing committee of the event at the Itamaraty Palace of Rio de Janeiro to discuss international collaboration and participation on the program, which includes the World Forum of Cities and the 27th World Congress of Architects.
The meeting was set up by the ambassador Eduardo Prisco and the museologist Vera Toste, coordinator of Consular Relations of RIO2020 UIA.
The president of the Executive Committee, Sérgio Magalhăes, introduced the programmed forums, expositions, workshops and fairs to the countries, legitimating the intention to receive people from all over the world as participants, exhibitors and speakers.
The consuls of Spain, Belgium, Peru and Norway, and representatives from the United States, Japan, Portugal, Uruguay, Mexico, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Italy and France were at the meeting.
In 2020, Rio will be the first city on the planet to be recognized with the title of World Capital of Architecture UNESCO-UIA.
